Mike graduated from flight school at NAS Pensacola in 2009 and became qualified in the EA-6B Prowler as an Electronic Countermeasures Officer (ECMO). He has a dual deployment to Libya for Operation Unified Protector and immediately afterward to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom, receiving four combat air medals.
Upon returning stateside, Mike became certified as a Mission Commander and a Night Systems Instructor (NSI), instructing on takeoff and landing tactics with night vision goggles (NVGs). Shortly afterward, he received his Crew Resource Management Instructor (CRM-I) designation as a flight safety instructor.
In 2020, he earned his MBA from the University of Denver and is pursuing his CFP designation.
Mike is a six-time Iron Man finisher and two-time ultra-marathoner. He now enjoys CrossFit with his daughter, Violet.
